Monalo

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 14, 2026. This page is maintained by the Monalo team to explain how the app handles your information.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile details you choose to add, such as your display name and avatar. When you use Monalo, we also collect and store the tasting entries, pantry items, photos, community posts, likes, saves, follows, reports, and blocks that you choose to create or submit.

How we use your information

We use your data to create and authenticate your account, keep your tasting journal and pantry available across supported devices, provide community features you choose to use (such as sharing, likes, saves, follows, reports, and blocks), moderate content and enforce our Community Rules, respond to support requests, and maintain and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Storage and security

Your account information and app content are transmitted to and stored on servers used to operate Monalo. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted network connections and secure credential handling, to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Third-party services

We may use service providers to host Monalo’s servers, store app content, deliver account and community features, support content moderation, and maintain service security. We also use Apple platform services for features such as photo selection, maps, and Safari when you open Terms, Privacy, shop, or social links. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under their own privacy terms.

Community

If you choose to share a tasting with the community, your selected content and profile information may be visible to other Monalo users. Other users may interact with that content through features such as likes, saves, and follows. You can report posts and block users from within the app. We may review reports and remove content or restrict accounts that violate our Community Rules.

Your choices

You can edit or delete entries, pantry items, and profile details from within the app. You can also delete your account from Profile. Account deletion removes or de-identifies the account information and app content associated with your account from our active systems, except where limited information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at the address below.

Children

Monalo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
